Hanon x Diadora B.Elite "The Spirit of '83"

For its latest collaborative endeavor, the UK’s Hanon pays homage to its hometown football club, linking up with Italian sportswear imprint Diadora to celebrate Aberdeen F.C.’s finest moment: 1983’s Alex Ferguson-led European Cup Winners Cup victories over footballing giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to secure the Scottish club’s first-ever European trophy. Coming in the form of Diadora’s B.Elite, “The Spirit of ‘83” aptly dons a bright red upper of premium suede and kangaroo leather along with pin-striped collar lining — all nods to the fiery red kits donned by the club. Finally, “83” comes embroidered on the heel to denote the year of the historic achievement while dual-branding features on the tongue, heel and back tab.

Hand-crafted in Diadora’s original Caerano Di San Marco factory and accompanied by special dust bags, lacing, and packaging, the Italian-made kicks are due out Saturday, October 10 in limited quantities at Hanon and select retailers in both Japan and the United States.
