The White House Responds to News of Kanye West's Presidency Bid

This week, the White House’s Press Secretary responded to Kanye West’s announcement that he will be running for President in 2020. Whilst traveling to Canada with current President Barack Obama, Josh Earnest explained that they were looking “forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.” The comment, which could be seen as a dig at the current campaign of Donald Trump, comes in response to Kanye’s VMAs outburst over the weekend, in which he claimed “as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.”
