IWC Big Pilot's Watch "Patrouille Suisse" Edition
IWC pays homage to the pilots of the Swiss Air Force.
Switzerland’s own IWC is paying homage to the pilots of the Swiss Air Force, the Patrouille Suisse, with a special edition of its Big Pilot’s Watch. Marked by a grey case of blasted stainless steel, the design is an update of the iconic timepiece’s original 1940 production and features IWC Schaffhausen’s largest in-house automatic movement, the 51011 calibre.Further customizing the piece is a small seconds counter at the 9 o’clock position — opposite the power reserve display — while a trio of Northrop F-5E Tiger II fighter jets come engraved on the model’s case back. Limited to just 250 pieces, the “Patrouille Suisse” edition of the Big Pilot’s Watch will be available from IWC retailers this September.
