Patagonia Introduces Its Eco-Conscious "Merino Air" Line
All sustainably harvested, with less than four grams of waste per garment.
Patagonia has introduced its new line of “Merino Air” clothing, featuring sustainably-sourced merino wool. The line of basics claim to “perform like nothing else,” with years of R&D behind it. Sourced from Patagonia, the wool is treated to an “air-jet” process that creates more insulation and fullness within each thread. Afterwards, the yarn is spun and knit using a computerized process, resulting in almost no waste (which is a feat considering most apparel manufacturers accrue over 20 percent of waste per piece). Take a look at the entire process above, and head over to Patagonia’s website for more details.
