Björk Shares Personal Emails With Philosopher Timothy Morton

New York City’s Museum of Modern Art hosted a major mid-career retrospective for Icelandic artist Björk, which “chronicle[d] her career through sound, film, visuals, instruments, objects, costumes, and performance.” A book was also created as part of the exhibit, titled Björk Archives. In its preparation, the singer-songwriter exchanged a series of personal emails with philosopher Timothy Morton, renown for his work which explores the intersection of object-oriented thought and ecological studies. An excerpt of their email correspondence has recently been released, offering a rare look into the disposition of Björk.
