Following Dick Costolo’s resignation from CEO of the social media giant Twitter, Snoop Dogg put himself forward for the role via the platform itself. Whether this was another one of his lighthearted jokes or actual serious talk, filling Dick Costolo’s shoes would be a daunting task for someone with years of online experience, let alone someone who does little more than use the platform. During his string of tweets late last night, Snoop wrote, “I’m ready to lead @twitter !! #SnoopforCEO” and even started the hashtag “#ifSnoopWasTwitterCEO,” to the appeal of his fan base who came back with a number of hilarious retorts.
