Late last year, British duo The Code released their critically acclaimed debut 11-track mixtape titled 1/11, and now, they’ve re-released their project in a white-and-black limited edition 12” LP. The white vinyl (250 pressed copies) is identical to the album artwork and the black version (100 pressed copies) is extremely limited. The cassette in the front is detachable and playable, and each copy of the vinyl contains a ticket for the band’s debut live show in London, which will be announced later this year. The duo shares: “Vinyl is a timeless art piece to us. We wanted to share this with others around the world who enjoy our music and want to listen to it on a different format.”
The visual is produced by Dani Sierra and directed by Abdou Cisse and Akwasi Tawia Poku, and depicts a slow Ken Burns effect towards the limited edition LP, which hangs right in the middle of the wall. Their track “Motion,” which plays in the background, is paired in synchronization with the sporadically compiled events happening in the room. Purchase the limited edition copy here and stream the album, which guest features G-Eazy, Kasflow, and Kaleem Taylor, on SoundCloud.
