In the wake of international Air Max Day, here Nike again combines two of its most beloved proprietary technologies to deliver a new silhouette. The Flyknit Air Max, while floating around internationally for some time, has finally arrived stateside on Nike’s website. The silhouette is more Flyknit than Air Max bloodline, combining a colorful polyester yarn knit upper on top of Nike’s ‘most flexible’ Air Max sole unit yet. Between the two technologies, a cushy sculpted cushion midsole adds yet another layer of comfort and protection. At the outsole, a nifty waffle sole pattern takes notes from the redesigned Free tread, distributing weight and impact throughout the foot.
