The numbers are in, and it looks like Tyler, the Creator‘s new album Cherry Bomb had a pretty solid first week run. Despite having very little resembling a traditional, big-budget promotional blitz in its run-up, Cherry Bomb debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 charts. Tyler, The Creator’s fourth full-length project sold 58,000 its first week, which is about 31,000 copies short of the 89,000 copies Tyler’s previous LP Wolf sold in its inaugural week. Miss Info also points out that — as Billboard notes — physical versions of Cherry Bomb didn’t hit brick-and-mortar retailers until April 17. So, as time goes on, the sales numbers for Cherry Bomb might move closer to the numbers reached by Wolf as more and more fans continue to run to their local retailer to purchase physical copies. This latest news comes just a few days after a Cherry Bomb bonus cut featuring Kali Uchis hit the ‘web.
