TAG Heuer has decided to give its V4 a full black carbon composite makeover — felicitously dubbed Phantom — joining prior platinum, rose gold, and titanium versions. The watch uses mechanical belt driven, linear winding mass movement, similar to previous models. However, the exterior aesthetic receives a substantial refinement, including a carbon material, dubbed CMC Carbon Matrix Composite, on its case and bridges. Finishing off the luxury timepiece, a titanium carbide coating covers its other detail components including the hands and dial. A first run of 50 TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantoms are to be produced, priced at $45,000 USD each.
