New Balance drops the fifth iteration of the classic New Balance M1300 silhouette, the limited edition New Balance M1300JP2 of the “Made in USA” collection. The iconic model was first introduced in 1985 as a technical running shoe and is only made available every five years. Sporting various shades of subtle greys that are reminiscent of asphalt tones of the city, the latest M1300JP2 features a grey upper made of high quality nubuck leather and mesh that’s contrasted with a white molded midsole, heel, tongue tab, laces, and the brand’s “N” logo that’s also bordered in blue, as well as the black Vibram® outsole. This is the first time for ENCAP® technology to be incorporated in an on-road running shoe, which ensures increased shock absorption and stability. The design, superior cushioning and light color scheme are meant to evoke the feeling of “walking above the clouds.” The heritage M1300 silhouette is symbolic to the brand, and it’s considered as the catalyst for the premium 1000 series. The New Balance 30th Anniversary M1300 will be available for purchase at New Balance Experience Stores March 28 at $300 USD.
