Following Nike’s $10 million lawsuit late last year against three of its senior designers after their move to adidas, it was clear that this legal battle would not be over any time soon. The accusations that surfaced were geared towards Marc Dolce, Mark Miner, and Senior Design Director Denis Dekovic following the understanding that they had in fact been involved in the release and distribution of sensitive material and were disclosing forthcoming Nike plans to adidas despite still being employed by Nike.

Dolce, Miner, and Dekovic are now fighting back and have filed a counter lawsuit against the sportswear giant claiming that their privacy rights were violated after Nike accessed their social media accounts. There is no further information regarding whether or not either lawsuit has been successful, but the three designers did have the following statement issued on their behalf:

“The designers are not interested in and will not use old Nike designs or old Nike ideas in their new venture … None of the designers have ever passed any trade secret information to adidas or any other competitor, and they will not ever do so.”
