The Suburban LP House in Sao Paolo by Metro Arquitetos

Brazil is widely revered for its blessed natural environment, which is evidenced in the seamless flow between city and suburb. Native Brazilian firm Metro Arquitetos takes advantage of said environment in its latest work, taking to the suburbs of Sao Paolo to create an elegantly modern two-level home. The edifice is chiefly composed of reinforced concrete, but complimented by natural accents such as wood throughout, with large glass panes inviting the surrounding greenery into the home. The second ‘volume’ – or top floor – is stacked atop the ground plot, housing an office and thus creating a natural separation between work and play.
