John Galliano Appeals Paris Labor Court's Wrongful Dismissal Decision

After taking his former bosses at Dior and his eponymous label to court last year, John Galliano has appealed the Paris labor court’s decision to reject his wrongful dismissal claim and hefty fine, which could force the designer to pay anywhere between €2.4 and €13 million EUR (approximately $2.7 and $14.8 million USD) to both labels. In court, Mr. Galliano’s lawyer contended that the dismissal should be considered “null and void” as it was based on preexisting medical conditions that his employers were fully aware of, which in part led to the unfortunate anti-Semitic tirade by John Galliano.
