WHIZ LIMITED x mita sneakers x New Balance MRL996
Two Japanese staples take on the REVlite-cushioned 996.
WHIZ LIMITED and mita sneakers are no stranger to collaborating on New Balance silhouettes, having previously linked up to customize both the CM1700 and MRT580 — not to mention silhouettes from the likes of Reebok and ASICS. Now the two are back at it, this time taking on New Balance’s REVlite-cushioned 996. Sporting a deep salmon-esque hue on the suede toe and matching co-branded footbeds, the design employs premium brown leather throughout the majority of the upper as creamy accents hit the lining, tongue, molded heel counter and branding underlay. In typical WHIZ fashion, a trio of stars decorate the lateral side of the suede panels while reflectivity comes in the form of the silhouette’s heel panel and signature “N” branding.
Expect the three-way collab to drop December 23 at both mita and WHIZ’s LUMP TOKYO for ¥17,800 JPY (approximately $146 USD).
