Five-Storey LED Star Installation by Jun Ong
Constructed from 500 meters of steel cables and LED strips.
As part of the ongoing Urban Xchange Festival, Kuala Lumper based architect Jun Ong has designed a five-storey LED star installation within an abandoned concrete building. Constructed from 500 meters of steel cables and LED strips, this remarkable piece is anchored to the ground, slabs, cantilever beams and even adjacent buildings to bring it to life. From afar, the superstructure appears as a dodecahedron, a 12-sided star, but when examined from each of the floors the complex intertwining of the LED strips offers up its own spatial experience.
