With Justin Bieber undergoing his own transformation on both an artistic and personal level, it makes sense that his musically-inclined friends and associates follow suit. Bieber affiliate Khalil has linked up with the talented FKi for a new effort dubbed “Realized.” On “Realized,” Khalil shows a strong command of melody and showcases his penchant for rap-crooning ability to mix the worlds of hip-hop and R&B, with a lot of the track’s lyrical and creative content finding its lineage in recent releases by artists such as Future and Post Malone. As always, FKi comes correct when it comes to the production — he’s definitely one producer everyone should keep a close eye on going into 2016. “Realized” comes to us before the release of Khalil’s studio album Long Way From 916, which promises collaborations with Justin Bieber, Tory Lanez, Post Malone, Rich The Kid, Kehlani and more. And, somehow, he landed a Mac Dre feature.
