HAIM Wants to Start a Festival With an All-Female Lineup
Their dream lineup includes Lorde, Florence and the Machine, Savages, Chvrches and Taylor Swift.
In a recent interview with Vulture during The New Yorker Festival, HAIM shared that they are missing classic all-female festivals like the Lilith Fair, a touring festival which hosted a lineup with only female artists and female-led bands. Este, noted that an idea for a “festival that’s just ladies” has been brewing between them for a while. Singer Este noted:
“We talk about this all the time, how there aren’t enough female represented bands and artists at festivals. You don’t see them. And it’s really sad for us. We came up with the idea basically of why can’t we just bring back a festival that’s just ladies — not that we don’t love the boys. Love the men.”
The trio also revealed their wish lineup for a festival like this. It includes Lorde, Florence + the Machine, Savages, Chvrches and Taylor Swift. This does not sound too far-fetched as far as we can judge.
