CeeLo Green Remixed A Tribe Called Quest's "Footprints"

First Pharrell paid homage, now it’s CeeLo Green’s turn.

A couple weeks ago, a Pharrell remix of A Tribe Called Quest‘s “Bonita Appulebum” surfaced. The new spin on the timeless 1990 effort was released in support of a forthcoming reissue of A Tribe Called Quest’s essential debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm. Now, a CeeLo Green remix featured on the project has been liberated. For his entry, CeeLo Green takes on the classic “Footprints.” Explaining his contribution to FADER, CeeLo Green said the following:

“How was it possible to be so varied, strange, unique, interesting and dope? Then “Can I Kick It” and “Bonita Applebum” guaranteed that a brave new world was upon us…I am me, by way of many things, and one them is A Tribe Called Quest.”
