After a long period of relative quiet from the legendary Aphex Twin, Richard D. James  is becoming more active than he’s been since his initial rise. Jut a few months after releasing a new album, the 43-year-old veteran is already planning on releasing a new EP tomorrow, and has shared an alternate mix of that project’s intro track, “Diskhat ALL Prepared1mixed [snr2mix].” Considering we’re only about 24 hours away from ravaging through 13 new offerings from Aphex Twin, we don’t exactly need something to hold us over, but there’s always something special about a new release from the pioneering producer. “Diskhat ALL Prepared1mixed [snr2mx]” may not be the most groundbreaking, attention-grabbing song we’ve seen attached to the Aphex Twin name, but it’s an interesting groove regardless.
