Arguably the two most renowned artists in electronic music, Parisian duo Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, or otherwise known as Daft Punk, have managed to maintained a low-key profile through their iconic robotic helmets that separate their personal identity from the music. Presented by BBC Worldwide France, Daft Punk Unchained marks the first independent documentary ever created on the pair and will explore the celebrated careers through the artistic universe they have created. Such scenes will highlight key moments from their formation as a humble school band through to the sweeping triumph at the 2014 Grammy Awards with their fourth studio album Random Access Memories. Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, the documentary will also feature exclusive interviews with close friends and collaborators with the likes of Pharrell, Giorgio Moroder, Kanye West, Nile Rodgers, Skrillex, Peter Lindbergh, Leiji Matsumoto plus more. Watch the trailer above as we await the worldwide release of the English subtitled version, expected later this year.
