Tame Impala Plays Frank Ocean, Panda Bear & More in New Mix

Meant to put you to sleep.

Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker gets eclectic in their new genre-crossing mix for BBC Radio 1. Dubbed the “Bedtime Mix,” the set was curated and composed by Tama Impala’s frontman with the intent to induce sleep in the listener. Parker cooked up the mix for Phil Taggart’s BBC Radio 2 program, which unveiled the piece last night. For his “Bedtime Mix,” Kevin Parker chose original efforts from the likes of Frank Ocean, Panda Bear, Kraftwerk, King Crimson, Gotye and more. You can read Parker’s statement about his new project below, and listen to the mix in its entirety above.

“Making a chilled-out playlist is not something I do regularly…but having been asked to do it, I’m looking back at the playlist now, and I may actually put this on tonight when I go to bed.”
