Today, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo decide to revisit their roots in the song and music video for “Yesterday” in celebration of their 20th anniversary as a group, without the contribution of their female vocalist Fergie. The track celebrates the genre’s classic sound and culture, and samples renowned records such as Onyx’s “Slam,” ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” N.W.A’s “Straight Outta Compton,” Wu-Tang’s “Killa Bees” and Beastie Boys’ “Paul Revere.” Watch the visual above.
