Kendrick Lamar Sued For "The Blacker the Berry" Artwork

Right after the news on 50 Cent filing for bankruptcy, it has been reported by Bossip that Kendrick Lamar has been sued over the artwork for “The Blacker The Berry,” a single from his sophomore album To Pimp a Butterfly. Giordano Cipriani, the man who took the photo in the track’s artwork, claims that his work was used without permission. The suit, which was filed on July 10, names Top Dawg Entertainment, Interscope and Aftermath as defendants, and seeks damages of $150,000 for every time the photograph was used. In addition, he also wants Kendrick to pay his legal fees. We’ll keep you updated on the situation.
