JAY Z Reportedly Looking to Part Ways With TIDAL

Did JAY Z do more good or bad for the streaming service?

According to HITS Daily Double, rapper-slash-mogul JAY Z is looking to part ways with the troubled streaming service after only a few months of touting the platform. Earlier this year, he infamously brought out a bunch of his celebrity friends such as Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and his wife Beyoncé on stage to promote the service, which unfortunately, has gone eerily quiet as of late. This ambitious investment has reportedly cost JAY Z millions of dollars, with licensing fees to holders still unpaid. However, the proverbial nail in the coffin may come from Birdman/Cash Money’s infringement lawsuit against the service for streaming Lil Wayne’s Free Weezy album. Sound off in the comments with what you think, and head to HYPETRAK for more music-related news.
