Wale – The Girls On Drugs

Washington rapper Wale, otherwise known as Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, rose to prominence in 2006

Washington rapper Wale, otherwise known as Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, rose to prominence in 2006 and has been in our ears ever since. After recently releasing the much anticipated album The Album About Nothing, Akintimehin has treated us to a visual accompaniment to his well-known smash “The Girl On Drugs.” For those who recognise the audio, the track also featured on W’s Festivus mixtape, and has re-surfaced for a second time. The visual approaches the topic of social media fame, and women who have been caught up in a party-dominant-lifestyle. Wale’s video deems these habits poisonous, and depicts the consequences. Directed by DRE Films, check out the clip below.
