Following a month-long period that has seen Ta-ku team up with the likes of Gravez and Loston for new beats, the Drive Slow, Homie craftsman has shared the lead single off his next EP, Songs To Make Up To. “Love Again” features JMSN and Sango, both of whom have had their names placed besides Ta-ku in one way or another in the past couple of years. The song is partly a modern, electronic pop-ballad, partly a take on grander, more gospel-esque sounds, with JMSN’s vocals leading and complimenting the production’s every movement. It’s a different side of each artist involved, and certainly shows an evolution and maturing in the styles of Ta-ku and Sango. Ta-ku’s Songs To Make Up To EP is being billed as a “companion piece” to his 2013 effort Songs To Break Up To, and will see release on June 12 via Fools Gold/Future Classic.
