Airbnb is Turning the Holmenkollen Ski Jump Into a Penthouse for One Night

Having previously hosted events such as the 1952 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump or Holmenkollbakken located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo has been converted into a tastefully designed penthouse by Airbnb for one night only. As a host to over a million guests every year, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump has been rebuilt an impressive 19 times and towers over the city offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the landscape. As well as being surrounded by 1,500 kilometers of cross-country skiing terrain, one of the world’s first ski museums can be accessed just 250 steps below the penthouse. After being served breakfast in the VIP lounge, the winner can then opt to either take a ski lift to the bottom for check-out, or they can jump on an awe-inspiring zip line out.
