A Look inside Ace Hotel's "American Trade Hotel" in Panama City

Trendsetting boutique chain Ace Hotel has opened up its seventh location in the historic Casco Viejo region in Panama City, an area described as “a hybrid of old Havana and New Orleans.” The 50-room, five-story “American Trade Hotel,” which was created by design firm Commune and architect Hildegard Vasquez, is conveniently located close to the city’s cultural center and has been outfitted with the contemporary luxuries today’s traveler requires, while also maintaining a sense of the local heritage culture. Furnished with iconic Bertoia chairs and custom-made pieces inspired by vintage Mexican and French designs, the hotel houses features like a rooftop pool deck, restaurants, a café, and a jazz bar.
