Rolls-Royce Sues Rapper for Trademark Infringement

As far as status symbols go, the Rolls-Royce is perhaps one of the foremost in automotive. The brand’s influence transcends its high-end status and has, for generations it seems, influenced the world of hip-hop. In a surprise move, the English automotive giant has taken legal action against Atlanta rapper Royce Rizzy – formerly Rolls Royce Rizzy – charging the artist with trademark infringement. The case is founded on Rizzy’s old tour merchandise, which itself appropriates the brand’s ‘Double R’ logo.
