Roger Federer and Michael Jordan Talk Sneaker Design in "Greatness Meets Greatness"

Blessed by Michael Jordan in attendance, Swiss tennis icon Roger Federer kicked off the 2014 U.S. Open with his first win against Marinko Matosevic this morning in New York. Coinciding with the match, the 17-time Grand Slam winner debuted his new shoe, the Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour AJ3. Inspired by a classic makeup, the court sneaker draws cues from the highly sought-after Air Jordan 3 with its elephant print panels. In this short clip titled “Greatness meets Greatness,” Federer sits down with Michael Jordan to talk shoe design and the legendary Tinker Hatfield who designed both the Jodarn 3 and the Zoom Vapor 9 Tour AJ3, alongside a slew of signature models from both sporting giants. Enjoy “Greatness Meets Greatness” here and stay tuned for more information on the shoe’s release date.
