Nike Showcases the History of Mercurial Boots

Since its launch in 1998, Nike‘s Mercurial line of football boots has become one of the biggest in the world of football. Rivaling some of the more established lines in the game, the Mercurial helped cement Nike’s status as one to watch in football when the first boots appeared on Ronaldo’s feet during the 1998 World Cup. Sixteen years on, the shoe has gone through countless iterations including the new Nike Mercurial Superfly, which features a Flyknit upper. To celebrate the Mercurial’s heritage, Nike has created a timeline showcasing all the models leading up the latest. Check out the shoes above and here to read up on all the shoes.
