CRASH "Broken English" Exhibition @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery Recap

Bronx-based graffiti guru John Matos, better known as CRASH, recently presented a solo show at New York’s Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Titled “Broken English,” the artist showed off his deftness with his chosen medium, presenting a body of work across canvas, paper, and a vintage 1975 Mini Cooper. Creating his work freehand, the exhibition shows CRASH’s adept use of color and tightly cropped compositions that reference both traditional “wildstyle” graffiti motifs and the ’60s Pop Art movement. “Broken English” will run from now till July 26, during that time CRASH will also paint a mural with The L.I.S.A. Project NYC. Check out the recap images here and see the show for yourself if you happen to be in New York.
