Flexing his novel approach to menswear design at his latest showing for Paris Fashion Week, Yohji Yamamoto toys with exciting fabrics and abstract cut & sew techniques for his eponymous line’s 2015 spring/summer line. In a departure from lavish fashion statements seen in other shows this week, the acclaimed designer looked to a grungy, beatnik sensibility in his work — drawing inspiration from the dress of Western-style cowhands and gypsies alike. Suits were loosely fitted and dyed to allow for a distressed look, while patchworks and graffiti writing covered blazers and mismatched suits. Waistcoats were paired with oversized pinstripe shirts and chambrays, and accessorized with scarves and fedora hats. Check out the collection here and look for it to reach stores next year.
