Thom Browne incorporated some distinctly boyish experiments with high fashion into his most recent collection. The usual intricate patterns and rich colors took backseat to what could only be described as what were to happen if Pinocchio bulked up and joined the army of tomorrow. For this show, the American designer skillfully reinterpreted traditional tailored pieces to achieve two distinct but complementary aesthetics: angular robot-like silhouettes one hand, and more rounded organic shapes literally bursting at the seams with muscle. That being said, there were some select instances where the palette was able to steal back some of the show with pastels and high-contrast florals being particularly noteworthy. Look for the collection at Thom Browne stockists as we get closer to the season.
