J.Crew and New Balance have teamed up to get an early jump on this year’s Fourth of July celebrations with their patriotic take on the M998 silhouette. Designed by J.Crew in New York City and produced in Skowhegan, Maine, the “Independence Day” M998 features a white pigskin suede and mesh upper with rich red and blue accents, and a matching ABZORB sole. Produced in limited numbers, the “Independence Day” M998 will be available at 10 a.m. on June 14 at the Liquor Store in New York City, The Grove in Los Angeles and On Lan in Hong Kong, with the first 20 customers at each location also receiving a matching hat from Ebbets Field Flannels. The sneakers will be then be available at select J.Crew locations including New York, Boston, San Francisco and London, as well as J.Crew’s online store, starting June 18. In the meantime, head here to get a look at how these great kicks come together.
