Bringing a new purpose to the chain on your bicycle, Daniel Farksas and Beata Csortan have created the TIK (Thin Is Key). The patent-pending design ingeniously attaches the shanks from a set of headless keys to a traditional bike chain unit made with durable chromium carbide-coated steel pins and cro-moly steel plates or titan-nitride coating for a scratch-resistant finish. When comparing the same set of keys placed on a standard key-ring, the TIK reduces the amount of weight a person carries in their pocket by 40%. It is also so streamlined that 10 keys can match the dimensions of a single credit card. A little more than a quarter of the way to its goal, TIK is still looking for investors via Kickstarter to bring its awesome product to production.
