Petrolicious Lets the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Speak for Itself
Simply hearing the fierce roar of the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO hearkens ones thoughts to a past era of motoring. This particular model is one of the last Ferrari GTOs ever built, with only 36 ever seeing production, and driver Derek Hill knows all too well how special this piece of history truly is. The 250 GTO’s engine, a 3.0L V-12 has plied its 300 horsepower across the stage of many endurance races, including the Sebring 12 hour, Nassau TT and winning its class in the Daytona Continental 2000km with Derek’s father Phill Hill behind the wheel. Derek takes a moment to regale viewers on several moments of inflection in the car’s history, and speaks about some of its superior features.
