Check Out David Sena's Firework 'Paintings'

Texas-bred, New York-based artist David Sena has made quite the name for himself on the tattoo scene, however, it’s his unusual approach to fine art that becomes the subject of Cool Hunting’s latest short documentary. A graduate from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Sena searched for ways to depict space, time and travel in an unconventional matter. His inspiration came from a childhood memory that reminded him of the marks fireworks would leave on the ground after exploding. Now years later, Sena manipulates fire to create mesmerizing pieces of art with fireworks, smoke bombs and even small blowtorches. Thankfully you won’t need a respirator to watch the above video. Enjoy.
