Switching from internal-combustion to electric-powered bikes, motorcycle purveyor Bultaco makes its return after a 30-year hiatus with the release of the Rapitán and Rapitán Sport. Deriving its power from a brushless electric motor and lithium-ion battery, this motorbike delivers 54 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque to top out at 90 miles per hour. The built-in charger takes three to five hours to fill its battery with the necessary juice to offer a combined SAE range of 87 miles. Furthermore, its rider can store a full-face helmet in the area that typically houses a gas tank. Bultaco’s revival will get underway later this year with the release of its Rapitán bike in select European markets.
