A Closer Look at the hanon x Diadora N.9000 “Saturday Special”
hanon Shop joins sportswear label Diadora to present an update to the classic N.9000 silhouette. Originally conceived in 1990 as a high performance runner, the new N.9000 — dubbed the “Saturday Special” edition — retains a premium construction with an upper combining kangaroo leather with pig and cow suede and the original closed mesh. The palette is similarly retro-inspired, featuring dark marine and burgundy with red and sky blue accents, reminiscent of trains and buses from the ’80s, including the public transport service for which the new drop is named.
Finishing touches include a multi-print pattern on the in-sock and tongue backer while hanon’s flame logo appears embroidered on the heel overlays and screened on the tongue patch. The shoe comes with three different sets of laces for customization including tonal, sky and white, as well as gold foil labels and a screened cotton dust bag.
‘The Saturday Special’ will be drop exclusively to hanon on May 31 The first 30 pairs will be sold in-store at 10 a.m. accompanied with 30 shirts with the remaining stock going to hanon from 2 p.m.
