Wall Dogs: A Day in the Life of New York City Wall Advertisement Painters

Vocativ recently spent a day chronicling the ins and outs of what it truly means to be a New York City wall advertisement Painter. The video entitled “Wall Dogs” exposes the intricate process of producing a wall advertisement from the initial planning, delicate riggings used for suspending from the side of a building, as well as the actual painting process. The painters describe the personal quality that wall painting offers in relation to a computer generated advertisement. Furthermore they explain how half of the experience is having pedestrians walk past and watch the process leading up to the final product, and how important that is for the success of the advertisement. Check out the video now and let us know what you think.
