Huck Presents Thierry Noir "Painting Walls"

Just two short years after moving to Berlin by way of France, Thierry Noir became one of the earliest — if not the first individual — to paint the infamous Berlin Wall. His work, a symbol of the reunification of Germany now known all over the world, typically features seemingly innocent, cartoon-like figures with bright color-blocking. Now — 30 years after he first took his brush to the tall concrete structure — Noir opens his first solo show in London at the Howard Griffen Gallery, exhibiting about 20 paintings spanning those three decades.
