Having spent a large part of her creative tenure in advertising agencies, Lindsay Merkle‘s pursuits in branding, marketing, and sales have allowed her to work with some of the largest names in sports and fashion. A few years ago, she channeled her skill sets to the music and electronics sector, joining the then fledging Beats by Dre label in the start of its brand story. Focusing on sales, her new role as Global Account Manager has her connecting the label with premium retailers and independent boutiques alike, spreading the power of music and Beats’ slogan that “sound matters.” Flying 50 weeks a year, Lindsay keeps a carefully selected list of items in her travel essentials, preparing for high-end client dinners to beach climates and action adventures. Her inclination for electronics can be seen from the usual on-the-go necessities — a MacBook Pro and Mophie charger — to a GoPro Hero 3 and a special Alexander Wang x Beats by Dre portable pill speaker. Describing her Essentials as “one part adventure, one part designer,” an array of outfits and footwear options cater for different occasions, while bracelets by Marc Jacobs, Alex and Ani, Gorjana, Misc and ZANEROBE give her options.
