Cut Copy - In These Arms of Love

Since their debut album, Australian band Cut Copy have been one of the strongest groups in synth-driven music, and on this year’s Record Store Day plan to follow-up last year’s Free Your Mind with a two-track 10” single featuring the new songs “In These Arms of Love” and “Like Any Other Day.” While the full release won’t be available until April 19, the quartet have let loose of one half of the 10” in the form of the A-side “In These Arms of Love.”  It’s a loud and powerfully-built song, but it’s not so overpowering as to take away from the production’s poppy, catchy melodies. The new cut is familiar territory for the band, and like everything else they’ve released it’s well-constructed synth-pop.
