Looking to the future of design after spending 2013 celebrating 30 years of innovation, Swatch
Looking to the future of design after spending 2013 celebrating 30 years of innovation, Swatch introduces the SISTEM51 – the world’s first mechanical movement built entirely from an automated assembly line. Just as the brand’s first quartz watch, this Swiss-made timepiece incorporates 51 components that took over two years to develop and perfect. All 51 parts are held in place by a single screw and can be seen through its clear backing, whilst its dotted dial is a nod to the Copernican revolution and a metaphor for the SISTEM51’s advancement in watch-making. Additional details include a comfortable silicone band, a 42mm hermetically-sealed plastic casing, and a 90-hour power reserve. Learn more about the availability of Swatch’s SISTEM51 here.
