The luxury mid-size sedan segment is about to get a bit more crowded as Jaguar has announced its upcoming XE. The successor to the poorly received Jaguar X-Type, the XE looks to right the wrongs of that car with a bold new look in keeping with Jaguar’s new angular design language. More than just a pretty face, the XE will feature an aluminum monocoque frame and will come with a range of engine options including one capable of propelling the car to a top speed in excess of 186 mph. No more details as yet but it looks like the Audi A4, BMW 3 series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class are going to have some competition next year.
