Multi-talented contemporary painter, sculptor and writer Yayoi Kusama is just over halfway through her latest show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. Titled “A Dream I Dreamed,” the touring exhibition looks back on her extensive career, highlighting her work with large-scale installations involving polka dots as well two-dimensional works featuring organic and tribal themes. Many of her works present vivid juxtapositions of color that abstract and vitalize mundane everyday scenes. The exhibition also introduces a few new pieces by the artist and will remain open until March 30. For more on the museum including opening hours, visit the MoCA Shanghai website.
