Polygon presents an account of the iconic side-scroling fighting game Street Fighter II. To realize the project, Polygon spent the past year tracking down more than 20 former Capcom employees and business partners to hear their personal accounts of the complex path the franchise took to stardom, which all began with the 1985 meeting between artist Akira Yasuda and equally eccentric Capcom developer Yoshiki Okamoto. A detailed five-chapter chronicle, the feature includes a glimpse of work by box artist Mick McGinty as well as a button to activate the ubiquitous Guile’s theme while you read. Check it out over at Polygon.
