adidas Unveils the World's First Knitted Football Boot

adidas has today unveiled the Samba Primeknit — the world’s first knitted football boot. Promising an unparalleled second-skin fit, each boot is created from a single piece of yarn that’s been treated for water resistance. Thanks to the innovative production method, adidas has been able to weave different zones into the upper to cater to different performance requirements, and the overall package promises new levels of flexibility and comfort while still retaining the strength of a traditional boot. The limited edition Samba Primeknit will be launching March 17 at at select adidas boutiques and stockists, as well as adidas’s online store.
